THE WHO CLOSE LONDON 2012

Classic 60's mod rockers The Who brought the curtain down at the London 2012 closing ceremony. Yes, we sadly had to put up with the shocking Ed Sheeran covering Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here and the terrible Kaiser Cheifs prancing around (who's idea was it to ask them?!). But thankfully The Who cam out and added some credibilty to the end of the ceremony and SMASHED IT! They performed two songs; Baba O'Riley & My Generation.

MADMENS MEGAN PERFORMS WITH THE JAMC

Jessica Pare (Megan in Madmen) joined The Jesus and Mary Chain at a handful of their gigs in The States and Canada, as she sang Hope Sandvals part "Sometimes Always" from Mary Chain's album Stoned & Dethroned as well as backing to ''Just Like Honey''. A slight change from her famous performance of Gillian Hills 60s hit "Zou Bisou Bisou" on Madmen, which was so popular it was actually realesed as a single on itunes.

Here it is here as she surprises Don Draper at his 40th Birthday in Madmen....

DARK HORSES: RADIO OFFSHORE W/ ROB LEVON BEEN

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's Robert Levon Been features on Dark Horses new track ''Radio Offshore''. The Brighton based group firmly grip the concept of drone rock here and with Levon Been guesting, it seems the perfect compliment to the groups fuzzy guitars and dreamy verve.

A nice teaser from the B.R.M.C co- frontman and fingers crossed, a new album from them to come before the year is out. Check out ''Radio Offshore'' right here...  http://www.clashmusic.com/feature/track-of-the-day-307-dark-horses

WORTHY OF A GOLD MEDAL- BANKSY RETURNS FOR LONDON 2012

Banksy has just released some new street art with a unique Olympic twist just in time for the games which are due to start this Friday. Banky's work always provokes thought and hidden meaning and this work is no different.

It seems Banksy tries keep our feet on the ground with all the hu hah about London 2012. Maybe he is telling us with all the focus on the Olympics itself, the athletes and to some extent the sponsors too. That there are still wars being fought and child slave labour workers, possibly some of the athletes sports gear being made by them. How do you interpritate it?
