DEAP VALLY AT THE SOUP KITCHEN FRIDAY 7TH SEPTEMBER

On Friday night we hurried along after our set at night & day to catch Deap Vally play round the corner at The Soup Kitchen. Luckily we made it just as their set began. There was a good sized crowd gathered for a band so new, they are making an impact fast.

We weren't sure wether or not to expect a good performance but the girls put all their effort in and it paid off. Lindsey's soulful vocals belted out recent single Gonna Make My Own Money, other tracks Ain't Fair, Baby I Call Hell and a dirty, sexy mid set cover of I put a Spell on You as well as some material we hadn't heard before.

We liked them before but love them now, they were chatty and engaging with the audience, on one occasion telling us how much they loved Boots saying they could have spent all day in there.
